About Me

Hi Everyone – Wanted to take a moment and introduce myself. First and foremost, I’m a lifelong Flyers fan who grew up playing hockey in the area and ended up playing club hockey in college. Post college, just like everyone else, I settled and found a career that I like but don’t love. Being away from hockey for a number of years, back in 2021 I decided to get back into coaching and coach a AAA team ranked in the top 25 in the country.

Now being back into coaching and following along with all of the Flyers/NHL news that comes out, I found myself searching for content that delved into the X’s and O’s of why players are doing certain things or how a coach’s system changes their game. I’m not saying I’m some know-it-all expert, but I wanted to create a site where I could not only share my opinion but also have conversations with other Flyers/NHL fans on the site, Twitter (X), and Instagram. This platform is going to be the beginning of this dream/journey that I’m not sure where it’ll take me.

Some background: thanks to my coaching, I have access to this platform that all NCAA, Junior, and 95% of the NHL uses called Instat. While there are a number of advanced stats in Instat, what it’ll really be useful for is clipping hockey plays and breaking them down with you all. Every shift is auto-saved as well as faceoffs, hits, shots, blocked shots—you name it, it’s already tagged and super easy to identify.

Not only is sharing my hockey knowledge with everyone a major goal of mine, but I want to continue to learn more as this game adapts, and I’m hopeful this will become the platform where I can do that.

My DMs on Twitter and Instagram will be open for anyone who wants to talk hockey. Not sure where this ride may take us, but I’m certainly here for it. Thanks for reading this first article!
